Behind this statistic lies an alarming reality: Loss of meaning and de-motivation at work, Rising Turn-Over. Phenomena that are sounding the alarm to keep companies afloat.
When we talk to executives, managers and HR people from very small businesses to large corporations, we hear a great deal of fear about these phenomena.
What is it really? Is there really a phenomenon or just a collective hallucination linked to news from across the Atlantic?
The public data are clear: there has been a sharp rise in resignations in France.
To what can this phenomenon be attributed? A number of possible explanations emerge from discussions with industry professionals.
As we all know, the annual performance review is a pivotal moment in a company's life. Javelo has conducted a study in collaboration with Opinion Way on this subject to gauge the state of mind of French employees:
1 in 2 employees dread the annual appraisal interview
79% of employees believe that the annual appraisal is a motivating and loyalty-building experience for them.
54% of employees feel that the annual appraisal is not followed up by enough concrete action.

However, if the right processes are not put in place, it can be a source of great disillusionment, leading to disengagement or even resignation.
This resignation phenomenon is coupled with a difficulty in recruiting in all sectors.
As you can see, the difficulty of recruiting has risen by up to 300%, making it all the more important to engage your employees.
In Gallup's State of the Global Workplace (2022), the specialist human resources consultancy tells us that only 14% of European employees are engaged at work, while stress levels in the workplace are at an all-time high.
Gallup's study also indicates that employee commitment has such a significant impact on all corporate functions (customer loyalty, meeting deadlines, absenteeism) that companies with committed employees record 23% higher profits on average.
So there's a real financial stake in hiring your employees.
According to Gallup, "Managers need to be better listeners, coaches and collaborators. Good managers help their colleagues learn and develop, recognize their colleagues for their excellent work, and make them feel truly involved. In such environments, workers flourish".
At Rolebase, we feel that to set up such an environment, the company needs to be supported.
That's why we've designed a product that's suitable for all companies, so you can see the benefits in terms of work organization from day one.
