Google Calendar

Follow these simple steps to synchronize your Google calendar with Rolebase.

⚠️ Synchronization is bidirectional

In other words:

  • If you extend or move a meeting in Google Calendar, this change will be reflected in Rolebase.

⌛ There is a delay in synchronizing Rolebase with Google Calendar, which depends on Google's services (it takes a few seconds).

The step-by-step approach in pictures🙂

On your Rolebase interface, in Meetings, click on Settings then Connect a calendar app.

On the next screen, select the integration Google Calendar

Next, this screen will open to let you choose the google account whose calendar will be affected.

Next, this screen will ask you to confirm data access validation (we're working on full validation by Google) by unfolding the advanced settings and clicking on Access Rolebase (unsecured).

After this screen, validate data sharing.

Then, agree to share the modification of your calendar data by clicking on Select all.

Go back to the very first screen in Meetings > Settings > Connect a calendar app to select the target calendar with the push-button.

Once you've selected the calendar, choose the target organization and synchronize. You now have access to full synchronization!

iCal synchronization

⚠️ Synchronization is unidirectional, unlike the first, more advanced integration method.

In other words:

  • If you extend or move a meeting in Google Calendar, this change will not be reflected in Rolebase.
  • You won't be able to see your meetings created in Google Calendar

⌛ There is a delay in synchronizing Rolebase with Google Calendar, which depends on Google's services (it takes a few seconds).

The step-by-step approach in pictures🙂

On your Rolebase interface, in Meetings, click on Settings then Export (iCal).

Then select the meetings you wish to include:

  • Only yours
  • All those in a circle
  • Or a global organization

Then copy the iCal url.

Now go to Google Calendar, click on the "+" next to Other Calendars:

Finally, copy the url previously retrieved from Rolebase and decide whether you want other people to have visibility of these events.

Your Rolebase calendar is now synchronized with your Google Calendar 👏🏼
